Lion, "Crust", has not reached the age of 10 years but know that he is
going to die of their disease. But his older brother Jonathan comforts
him, and tells what happens after death; if the country Nangijala where
it is still "lägereldarnas and fairy time". Some time later it starts to
burn in their houses, and Jonathan saves the Crust by taking him on his
back and jump out through the window. The crust can handle themselves,
but not Jonathan. What if Nangijala was just a fabrication, wonder the
Crust. But a white dove on the windowsill consoles him.
