The film begins with a lifeboat and landed on a tropical island. Inside the lifeboat, there is Robby, a nine year old child. Robby explored the island but finds no signs of the presence of other men. When he falls into a lagoon and runs the risk of drowning is saved by a young native, completely naked, in the name Friday. Robby questions Friday about why it is completely naked, but the native is not able to understand what the child says because he does not understand the English language.
