Hungary in 1943: The Jewish-Hasidic couple Job and Roza adopted the orphan boy Lacko, is a Christian. Because Jews are allowed to adopt to the time, no more Christians, to be dated the papers to the year 1938. Schaefer Job is for the boy with two calves. Lacko is, in turn, are already in the orphanage as a stubborn, unruly, and little willing to come up with the two. Job sees this as a sign from God: A spark of one of the calves must be jumped on Lackó, to show Job the right boy. Lackó is to survive, in contrast to the parents, and the spirit and Faith of the family. All of the seven children of the couples have already died before their time, and the anti-Semitism is in Hungary significantly. Among the Jews of the village Jóbs procedure encounters disapproval, and the Rabbi Mandele accused him of blasphemy.
