Tahimik
depicts a Jeepney driver serving as President of the Werner von Braun
Fan club. He listens non-stop on the Voice of America radio show, hoping
to watch the launch at Cape Keneddy. Suddenly, he finds the opportunity
to realize those dreams. American offers him a job in France, then
finally Germany and in America. Unfortunately, the young driver
discovers that there is no promised land. His utopian fantasies become a
"perfumed nightmare."
